Summary: Responsible for aiding in the direction of the daily operations, programs, and staff by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Oversees the daily operation of the Resort; managing operations to provide and maintain standards of conduct, cleanliness, and safety.*
2. Provides customer service by performing the functions of the Front Desk Associate as required.*
3. Supervises, trains, and coaches Resort staff based on company standards and training guidelines.*
4. Prepares work schedules, bank deposits, administrative reports, and human resources paperwork.*
5. Performs staff duties as necessary to maintain Resort operations.*
6. Orders supplies as authorized by the Resort Manager.
7. Must be available to work holidays and weekends as these are the busiest times for Pet Paradise.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Internet Explorer; and Microsoft Outlook Express.

Able to handle a variety of animals safely and comfortably
Manages one to three subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 10-15 employees including the Resort Supervisors, Front Desk Associates/Resort Associates and Bathers/Groomers. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises 10-20 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
