Pet Paradise is looking for a leader for one of its Resort.   The Resort Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the operations, employees, customer service and grassroots marketing at the resort.

This is a challenging, yet rewarding position.  Who wouldn't want to spend their days surrounded by playful pups and content cats?

Following are a few of the responsibilities:

1. Oversees the daily operation of the resort.
2. Provides exemplary customer service to ensure customer retention.
3. Handles customer complaints quickly with grace and understanding. Does whatever it takes to make the customer happy without jeopardizing the Pet Paradise standard, reputation or financial well-being.
4. Manages the operations of the resort in accordance with company standards of conduct, cleanliness and safety.
5. Develops Assistant Manager and Supervisor through training (both internal and external) to create bench strength and foster employee loyalty.
6. Formally evaluates Assistant Manager and Supervisor on a periodic basis. Initial review will take place after first 90 days.
7. Provides feedback to all staff members on a regular basis.
8. Conducts regulary scheduled staff meetings (2 per quarter).
9. Facilitates the Vet Partner program making regular visits to current and prospective veterinary offices.
10. Participates in Resort Manager meetings via conference call or in person.
11. Communicates to team on Marketing initiatives and promotions.
12. Provides coaching and counseling when necessary based on employee performance.
13. Consults HR in employee relations matters.
14. Coordinates employee recognition activities.
15. Creates employee work schedules based on business volume and employee classification.
16. Ensures safe keeping of petty cash and coordinates or makes regular bank deposits.
17. Oversees the purchasing of authorized supplies and maintains records and inventories.*
18. Schedules self to perform staff duties on a regular bais or as needed to maintain resort operations.
19. Responsible for ensuring the resort is well-maintained and kept in good repair. Informs maintenance team of any issues which impede safety or operation of the resort.


Qualified individual must have supervisory or management experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality operations or similar; ability to read financial reports and manage payroll, inventory.
